{"id":10998,"date":"2021-03-02T13:05:42","date_gmt":"2021-03-02T13:05:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cassandravoices.com\/?p=10998"},"modified":"2021-03-02T13:05:42","modified_gmt":"2021-03-02T13:05:42","slug":"poem-note-from-the-organisers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/casswp.eutonom.eu\/index.php\/2021\/03\/02\/poem-note-from-the-organisers\/","title":{"rendered":"Poem: Note From The Organisers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Note From The Organisers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Feel free to turn up (or not)<br \/>\nwearing a full suit of armour,<br \/>\nor a hat with a big feather in it<br \/>\nand transparent trousers;<br \/>\nor to come dressed as a future<br \/>\nBishop of Cork and Ross,<br \/>\nor as the prophet Isaiah\u2019s<br \/>\ndiscredited older brother.<\/p>\n<p>But this march is no wild ground<br \/>\non which entrist dandelions<br \/>\nor buttercups will be allowed grow.<br \/>\nThe Committee permits<br \/>\nno placards or literature<br \/>\nof a factional variety.<br \/>\nMost egregious those<br \/>\nwith crazy words on them,<br \/>\nlike \u201cpeople before profit\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>So as not to put off<br \/>\nthose not necessarily<br \/>\nin favour of people<br \/>\n(nor at all against profit)<br \/>\nour gathering will resemble<br \/>\nless a revolution<br \/>\nthan a church group<br \/>\non its way somewhere<br \/>\nto pray for a cure<br \/>\nfor rheumatism,<br \/>\nor even better,<br \/>\nno cure;<\/p>\n<p>so we can stand here<br \/>\nin increasing discomfort,<br \/>\nbecome such fixtures<br \/>\neven well behaved<br \/>\ndogs from Dun Laoghaire<br \/>\nstart anointing<br \/>\nour legs as public conveniences.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Note From The Organisers Feel free to turn up (or not) wearing a full suit of armour, or a hat with a big feather in it and transparent trousers; or to come dressed as a future Bishop of Cork and Ross, or as the prophet Isaiah\u2019s discredited older brother.
