Like the fact that I carry about with me,<br \/>\nsmiling up out of my man-bag,<br \/>\na two day dead pike<br \/>\nthat looks like it died<br \/>\nof a personality disorder;<br \/>\nhad its oily head beaten in by someone<br \/>\nwho could take no more<br \/>\nof it blathering on<br \/>\nin a fake south London accent<br \/>\nabout how it was finking of voting<br \/>\nLib Dem, and that it heard<br \/>\nthe lyrics on Adele\u2019s post-divorce album<br \/>\nare surprisingly upbeat.<\/p>\n<p>My friend is still my friend<br \/>\n\u2018cos unlike all the ex-people<br \/>\nI had to drop concrete blocks on<br \/>\nhe\u2019s able to let on<br \/>\nmy succession of pet dead pikes<br \/>\ndon\u2019t smell because his nose<br \/>\nhas grown so used to<br \/>\ndead pike at this stage<br \/>\nhe\u2019d miss it if it wasn\u2019t<br \/>\nthere to block out<br \/>\nthe even smellier<br \/>\ndead things that live<br \/>\nat the bottom of my man-bag,<br \/>\nthe leather existence of which<br \/>\nyou must be prepared to deny<br \/>\neven when questioned by psychiatrists,<br \/>\nif you want to be my friend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We Lie after Holly McNish My one remaining friend, now I\u2019ve plugged out my Mum, is in my pretend life because he\u2019s willing to not notice what I metaphorically call things.
