{"id":14267,"date":"2022-09-25T15:13:09","date_gmt":"2022-09-25T14:13:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cassandravoices.com\/?p=14267"},"modified":"2022-09-25T15:13:09","modified_gmt":"2022-09-25T14:13:09","slug":"forty-footer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/casswp.eutonom.eu\/index.php\/2022\/09\/25\/forty-footer\/","title":{"rendered":"Forty Footer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Sixteen years ago, I wandered down to the Forty Foot to take some pictures of winter swimmers, one of the first swimmers I encountered was Tim; every week that winter I took pictures, building my collection and getting to know Tim and the other hardy swimmers, of which there was very few.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Photographer Barry Delaney at the Forty Foot\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4TrKHxAmwDs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I was going through some personal issues and had just sobered up, so Tim prompted me to give it &#8211; swimming &#8211; a go. He remarked &#8216;are you not famous yet ?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Early this summer I submitted this picture to the Zurich Portrait prize.
