{"id":14679,"date":"2022-12-07T17:00:47","date_gmt":"2022-12-07T17:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cassandravoices.com\/?p=14679"},"modified":"2022-12-07T17:00:47","modified_gmt":"2022-12-07T17:00:47","slug":"poetry-michaela-brady-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/casswp.eutonom.eu\/index.php\/2022\/12\/07\/poetry-michaela-brady-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Poetry: Michaela Brady"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>White Bay Park<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And cows trod on thickened sand,<br \/>\nBow their heads beneath the sun.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s as if this summer was planned,<br \/>\nWith days that cannot be done.<\/p>\n<p>That sun implores, infects my sight,<br \/>\nSurges fire through greying sea,<br \/>\nThrough my heart and through the night,<br \/>\nPerennial, I am allowed to be.<\/p>\n<p>Could I spend an eternity here?<\/p>\n<p>If I lassoed eternal dusks,<br \/>\nIf you were caught as well,<br \/>\nAll our present woes would rust<br \/>\nIn Atlantic\u2019s alabaster swells.<\/p>\n<p>But life will change, not just the tides.<br \/>\nI cannot say when I\u2019ll be back.<br \/>\nYou cannot know what you\u2019ll decide.<\/p>\n<p>Could eternity wait for our return?<br \/>\nI cannot trust a view revived<br \/>\nTo last a lifetime I have hardly lived.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Feature Image: Daniele Idini<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>White Bay Park And cows trod on thickened sand, Bow their heads beneath the sun.
